Aim training guide

Nocturne Vector uses six short browser drills to separate target acquisition, precision, response timing, continuous tracking, decision control, and sustained performance. This guide explains the drills, the readouts and a practice routine.

Match the drill to the ability you want to practice

Choose one primary drill and one contrasting drill for a session.

30 seconds

Grid sweep

Up to three targets of varying sizes can appear at once. The drill emphasizes visual search, choosing the next contact, and moving efficiently between targets without giving away accuracy.

30 seconds

Precision

One small target appears at a time, and misses carry a score penalty. Use it to practice controlled final adjustments.

10 signals

Reflex gate

A randomized hold interval precedes each signal. Early input counts as a false start, and three faults end the gate. This mode rewards readiness without anticipation clicks.

30 seconds

Vector track

Keep the pointer on a moving contact as its path changes. The useful outcomes are lock percentage and lock time, not clicking speed.

35 seconds

Switchback

Valid contacts alternate across lanes while decoys demand restraint. The drill combines rapid transfer with response inhibition: moving quickly matters only if the next signal is actually valid.

60 seconds

Endurance

Target density rises across a longer window. Use it to watch whether accuracy and movement quality hold as the pace increases.

Read each metric in context

Score

Score combines mode-specific performance signals such as target speed, target size, streaks, lock time, bonuses, and penalties. Use score to compare repeated runs in the same mode.

Accuracy

For click modes, accuracy is successful hits divided by hits plus misses. In Vector track, it is the share of measured time that the pointer remains locked on the moving contact.

Average reaction

Reflex gate reports the average delay from the visible signal to a successful response.

Best streak or lock time

Click-based drills show the longest uninterrupted hit streak. Vector track shows accumulated lock time instead.

Personal best

The personal best is the highest saved score for that mode in this browser. The Track record view shows recent scores together.

Credits

Credits are local progression rewards used to unlock cosmetic reticles and districts. They have no cash value.

Build a 15-minute practice block

  1. Calibrate for two minutes. Run Grid sweep once at a comfortable pace. Keep the same browser zoom, pointer sensitivity, display, and input device you plan to use for comparison.
  2. Select one constraint. In Precision, the constraint might be keeping accuracy above a chosen threshold. In Vector track, it might be making smaller corrections instead of snapping back after an overshoot.
  3. Run a focused set. Complete three runs of the same mode. Rest briefly between them so fatigue does not become the only variable.
  4. Add one contrasting mode. Pair Precision with Grid sweep, Reflex gate with Switchback, or Vector track with Endurance.
  5. Review the pattern. Look at score and accuracy together.

Technique by mode

For Grid sweep and Switchback, decide on the next contact before the current click finishes. For Precision, prioritize the final correction. For Vector track, watch the direction of travel and meet it with steady motion rather than repeatedly crossing the center. For Reflex gate, stay ready during the hold without guessing when the signal will appear.

Where records are stored

Completed runs, per-mode bests, credits, cosmetic unlocks, daily-challenge progress, and aggregate telemetry are stored in local site data. Records do not sync to another device or browser profile. The Track record retains a limited recent history for local trend views. Resetting inside the trainer or clearing browser site data removes it.

Read the privacy notice for network and storage details. For a technical problem, email [email protected] with the mode, browser, device type, and steps that led to the problem. Do not send passwords or other sensitive information.

Nocturne Vector questions

Which mode should a new player start with?

Grid sweep introduces the basic target-and-feedback loop with larger contacts and a balanced pace. Move to Precision or Vector track after you are comfortable with the interface.

Why did my records disappear on another device?

The record is local. A different browser, profile, private window, or device has separate storage and does not receive your prior runs.

Does the daily challenge change the measurement?

The daily challenge selects one of the existing modes and keeps a separate daily best.
